The strategic Committee

The strategic Committee, chaired by the Minister of health, as stipulated by art 10 of MD of 18 September 2008 (pdf 51 kb), consists of representatives of Regional Governments and managers of top-level central health authorities.

Its tasks are: defining the action priorities, adopting annual action programmes, approving the report about the work done by Ccm during the previous year, and setting general guidelines for the dissemination of information and for refresher and training courses.

These are the current members of the strategic Committee, reinstated by the MD of 12 November 2008:

• Sandro Sandri – Health Councillor of the Veneto Regional Government, acting as vicepresident, delegated for this purpose by the Coordinator of regional health councillors, Dr. Enrico Rossi
• Giovanni Bissoni - Health Councillor of the Emilia Romagna Regional Government, appointed by the Regional Government Presidents’ Conference
• Vladimir Kosic – Health Councillor of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Government, appointed by the Regional Government Presidents’ Conference
• Giovanni Zotta – Head of the Innovation Department and of the Prevention and Communication Department
• Claudio De Giuli – Head of the Quality Department
• Romano Marabelli – Head of Department for public veterinary health, nutrition and food safety
• Fabrizio Oleari – General health prevention Manager and operational manager of Ccm
• Alfredo Mantici – Civil Protection Department of the Council of Ministers Presidency
• Franco Cuccurullo – President of the advanced health Council, Ministry of health
• Enrico Garaci – President of the advanced health Institute
• Antonio Moccaldi – President of the advanced Institute for prevention and safety on the workplace
• Giovanni Simonetti - Director of the image diagnostic and intervention radiology Department of the Teaching Hospital Policlinico “Tor Vergata”, as expert appointed by the Ministry for labour, health and social policies
• Antonio Scala – Deputy head of the University “Vita e Salute” San Raffaele in Milan as expert appointed by the Ministry for labour, health and social policies.

The Minister of health, or the delegated Undersecretary may invite the general managers of the Ministry and/or experts on the topic at hand to participate in meetings of the strategic Committee.
